W. Tanner, the wife of the former pastor for 30 years, lit the fire that burned the mortgage of the church.
Through many building programs and the securing of property for the past 44 years the church has secured their present property at 325 Center St.
Pastor Tillery was elected as pastor in March of 1972 and since that time there has been a continuous remodeling program and it is continuing at this time.
During the existence of this church several ministers have began their ministry and the ministry of this church is known throughout Arkansas as a missionary church with a strong evangelistic fervor.
A full house of people witnessed the burning of the mortgage, some having been members of the church for many years and still active in their membership.
